Zero stars. I brought my cat to this clinic, because he was acting out of the ordinary. Something was wrong. I predicted and researched all the possibilities on my own. This vet has no compassion, I don't know why she is a vet. She didn't do an exam on the first visit, telling me that my cat is ok. She did however, recommended preventive treatment, which I agreed to. A few days had past, my cat's behavior changed drastically, he was getting worse. I informed her that I was very concerned. She gave him fluids on the second visit and said he was ok. That night, I stayed up crying, researching and watching my cat Hank suffer. I contacted her immediately, telling her that he was sick (vomiting). She took him in for a third time, and told me she would do some blood testing to figure out the problem. I told her that I didn't think that I would have enough of the expense, but I was welling to work with her. Even on my first initial visit I didn't have expenses, she knew. Luckily, I was able to barrow some for my parents. So I leave my cat with her for a third visit, relieved because we'll finally find out what is wrong with him with some blood testing she recommended Unfortunately, for us, she can't handle my cat's behavior, can't sedate him, so no blood work. She tells me, that i could take my cat to a vet in Flagstaff to get the testing done there. No referral, so we are on our own from there. However, she was still able to charge me an exam fee, even without answers to my cat's diagnosis, or even the slightest consideration of my financial situation or compassion for my cat Hanks survival. This lady (Holgate) doesn't know anything, she is careless, and she only seems to like money. Two different parties, were against the idea of me taking my cat here, they had a similar experience with her. They wasted money on exams that didn't give them answers. I felt very stupid, sad and helpless, because I poured my feeling out to her, so desperate to get my cat healthy. She couldn't medicate him at all, because she would need blood work, but couldn't even do that. I felt so helpless, to where I was starting to consider putting down the cat. I didn't want him to suffer anymore. Of coarse, when that subject came up, she had no problem telling me the price of euthanasia, without remorse, or any indication of having alternative options first. I paid her, and as I was leaving she yelled out to me "Thank You." I cried, desperate to help the poor cat. I took the rest of the day off at work, missed class, so I could look for a vet in the next town Flagstaff. The first vet I called, was very opened to helping me immediately, her only concern was my cat's health. Within seconds of the first phone call, she told me, "Do not worry about the expenses, and bring your cat Hank in now!" When I arrived, she took the cat out of my arms, and to my face she told me that I wouldn't be charged an exam fee considering my experience with this Holgate lady.The vet did blood work even though my cat was vicious, and she was able to find out his real diagnosis. She even said that the preventative Ms. HOLGATE gave him should've waited. My cat is being hospitalized for a few days. This morning the vet called me, to tell me that my cat is in high spirits, he isn't as weak as he was, and he has not been vomiting. Please, as an Animal Lover DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!!! Take your pet to Flagstaff, your money, time & tears will not be wasted. If not, always consider Dr. RUBY first. It was a very bad experience dealing with this local clinic in Tuba City, I never felt so depress. This so called vet person's (Holgate)demeanor makes you feel worse. I would like a refund, but I rather have her use it for her early retirement to close down the clinic. That way, NO other person will experience what I did. The experience hurt, and it was like a nightmare. I will never refer to her as a Doctor or a vet.
Great service! Very opening and welcoming! They cured my pup from parvo! Pretty pricey but what parvo treatment isn't?
